Judgment Day

I didn't realize all my effort
Was shaking a snow globe this whole time
Finding meaning in the flurries and how the flakes fall
The sum of a life
This many days
This many dreams
This many orgasms
I know what I'm doing
I get what I want
I cling to his skin, my face in his neck
I can't face the risks of living
The odds of dying
Either dying or mourning
They say it's judgment day,
those murmuring sparks
It's snowfall in the sun
Ringing with the good news
from snowflake to snowflake
to me
It's a call to transcend
It's another dream of ecstasy
I can't let go, however,
Of my next clear dawn
Crisp, still air
Cleansed by the snow
now sparkling, countless suns flashing
from the earth to the sky
